Why Yakety Yak Language Cafe
At Yakety Yak Language Cafe we like talking. We particularly like chatting in comfortable, friendly cafes where we can enjoy speaking Chinese over a tasty wee treat. So that's what we do!
We focus on conversation. Not just because we like talking, but also because conversation will improve your listening, your vocabulary, your grammar and your confidence. And as each group will have no more than 6 people, plus a tutor, there will be ample opportunity to learn to speak better Chinese.
There's no need to book - you can drop into our Chinese conversation sessions when you can. You will join a group with a tutor who is a native speaker of Chinese.
As well as improving your Chinese conversation, you'll learn a bit about Chinese culture and meet people with similar interests.
There are 3 options for paying:
- Pay £7 every time you come.
- If you wish to come regularly you can pay £35 for an 'Open Card' which gives you any 6 conversation sessions over 3 months, any café, any language (1 free session).
- If you wish to join us at the same time and same place every week for 6 consecutive weeks, buy our 'Single Session' Card for £28 (2 free sessions but no flexibility).
